Administrator of Courts, Regina Petersen, advises the public and members of the Virgin
Islands Bar Association that pursuant to the amendment to Section 6103(a) of Title 5, United
States Code signed into law this afternoon by President Joe Biden and the Proclamation of
Governor Albert Bryan, the Virgin Islands Judicial Branch will be closed on Friday, June 18,
2021, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day and all nonessential
employees will be granted administrative leave. Normal operations will resume on Monday,
June 21, 2021.
